Rugby Coming To South Alabama?
Hint: The answer is “Yes.” Though there are several things still in the works, and details are very sparse at this time, it seems Rugby is coming to South with matches starting as early as this coming fall. This is still undergoing preliminary development as a club sport at this time. For more information, you can visit the Rugby booth at JagFest coming up on August 21st. Why don’t they bring back Men’s Soccer before adding something like rugby? (No offense to rugby intended.)
I would love to see soccer as well. However, since this is a club sport, I would assume that it would take the initiative of the students to bring it back. If enough students wish to form a soccer group, then it seems like this would be a feasible concept.
South Alabama had quite the men’s soccer team from what I hear. I would like to see it return.
